Dogecoin (DOGE) is suddenly on everyone’s lips again: Currently a DOGE millionaire gives away his coins-and Elon Musk tweets about “Baby Doge”. What’s this about?

One Million Free DOGE

Giving is more blessed than taking. That’s what Gary Lachance, an early Dogecoin investor, thought: He had invested in the Scherz currency in 2014, made a lot of money in the meantime-and now wants to return some of it to the community. It sounds like a typical crypto scam, but it actually has a hand and a foot.

The free Dogecoins are to be distributed via an augmented reality mobile game called “Million Doge Disco”. Lachance allegedly developed the concept for this himself: gamers receive Dogecoin (DOGE) and interactive NFTs (non-fungible tokens) while playing. A total of one million DOGE from his personal holdings are to be distributed. Lachance about the game concept:

“A million Dogecoin and other digital NFT artifacts will be scattered across the globe. Each player receives an interactive Disco Doge NFT or ‘Dogeagotchi’ in Tamagotchi style, which allows them to dance in augmented reality, from which they receive daily’Dogely ‘ wisdom, and which allows them to collect Dogecoin and other rewards.”

A “Doge-driven party metaverse”

Lachance’s dream be it to create a” doge-driven party metaverse “or a new” party plane “that is”above reality and allows anyone, anywhere, to immediately enter a parallel dimension that is alive with sound, light and positive vibes-turning the whole world into a dance floor”.

So quite something to which the joke-and-fun currency DOGE seems to fit. They wanted to develop an AR game in the Pokemon Go style, accessible from any smartphone, powered by the” BLOCKv platform ” for the creation of programmable, interactive NFTs. And, so Lachance:

“We will also introduce a’ proof of partying ‘ mechanism that encourages everyone and everywhere to dance with their doges to receive Dogecoin donations from the community.”

Dogecoin creator Billy Markus has already given his blessing to the project. He commented:

“This looks really complex and interesting!“

Elon Musk and “Baby Doge”

Parallel to “Million Doge Disco”, DOGE is also present again due to its most prominent protégé: Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the self-proclaimed “Dogfather”, tweeted about “Baby Doge” yesterday – and thus fuelled speculation that it could be the relatively new Dogecoin offshoot “Baby Doge Coin” (BABYDOGE). We quote the SpaceX boss literally:

“Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo,
Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo,
Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo,
Baby Doge“

Perhaps, however, the cryptocurrency Baby Doge Coin was not meant at all, but a reference to the children’s song “Baby Shark Dance” – one of the most clicked Youtube videos with more than 8 billion views.

Nevertheless, Musk’s tweet did not miss its effect this time: The BABYDOGE price immediately exploded by 130%, has still risen more than 100% within the last 24 hours. Many investors are apparently buying the coin in the assumption that Musk could send out further tweets, which may give the price a similar inspiring effect as at the time with the” big daddy ” Dogecoin.
